Astronomy is the Mother of all Sciences. Being born in the hills of the Nilgiris under clear February skies in a house that did not yet have electricity at that time, I have a special connect with the night sky. I am humbled yet empowered by the vastness of the Cosmos. I have taken up the mission of creating awareness about our Universe, not just amongst children but also ignorant others and I try to do this at the smallest opportunity I get. Being associated with School Education, I have always tried to create an interest of our Cosmos amongst our children through various means and an Astronomy club which I started in Surat at DPS Tapi is one such successful initiative.
